McMaster Technique – Gut Worms (50 EPG)

Quantitative method used to determine the number of parasite eggs present in animal faeces. This technique is useful for monitoring parasitic infections in livestock, evaluating the effectiveness of anthelmintic treatments, and managing herd health. It is measured in eggs per gram (EPG). There is a known correlation between egg count and the number of adult worms present in the animal’s gastrointestinal tract. Coccidial oocysts can also be found in this test and will be reported if seen by the analyst.

Sedimentation Technique – Liver and Rumen Fluke eggs

Quantitative & qualitative technique used to detect both rumen and liver fluke eggs in animal faeces. This technique involves distinguishing rumen fluke from liver fluke through microscopic inspection.
